My slides from the Desucon Frostbite 2019. I absolutely loved working on it, more so than my main things to do (like thesis).
Main stuff is about doujinshi landscape in Japan in three parts; history, change in canon structure and tools. Essentially my argument was that media mix went far and canons are now changing its shape. Doujinshi has been a thing, but the boom could be explained by this phenomenon, accelerated by the proliferation of tools and forums as catalysts.

Desucon Frostbite 2019で発表した「今どきの原作とは」というタイトルのプレゼンスライド。本業の修論作業に比べたらめちゃめちゃ楽しかった。今まで友人と話していたことを人に伝わる形でまとめようとしたものです。
同人誌市場がなんでこんなに巨大化しているのかを歴史を踏まえた上で原作の構造が変化を起こしていて、技術等のアクセシビリティ改善を通して爆発が起きている、という感じの内容です。某ポストモダンな評論家の論をアップデートしよう！というのが二次的な目標だったけど発表ではそこまで深いことが話せていない。日本語でも発表要旨をアクセスできるようにしておきたいけど修論終わってからだなあ…。
